Shopgirl (2000) was a quick and enjoyable read that I picked up from our Little Free Library. The characters in this novella were highly believable and they developed a great deal, individually and in relationship to one another, over the course of the short volume. As I read through this work I quickly thought that it should be turned into a movie. Turns out, it was: Shopgirl (Official Trailer) - YouTube.

I should never be surprised with what Steve Martin creates.
